Unit Description

 

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager for Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health System, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  This facility is a fast pace, high volume account focused on achieving the highest level of patient satisfaction.  This facility is committed to patient centered care, employee engagement, increased collaboration with patient care units, and utilization of LEAN principles.  

 

In this role, you will direct and participate in all of the daily patient services operations, utilizing "At Your Request" a specialty meal program. In this customer focused role, you will be responsible for conducting performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to help improve patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include: participation in and directing the patient meal operation; daily meal rounding and interaction with the patients, their families and the nursing staff; ensuring proper meal assembly procedures & staff training.  #RDMGT

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports.
 


 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
