Job Description

::

The Payroll/AP Coordinator is responsible for all Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.  Participates in Purchasing process by issuing purchase order numbers once requisitions are approved. The Payroll/AP Coordinator assists the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) with monthly financial close and keeps the CFO informed of information relating to the daily operations of the Fiscal Accounting Department.

Job Requirements

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:    

 

Completes all payroll and accounts payable functions timely and accurately, and in accordance with hospital policies.

Assists the CFO in completion of the month-end financial close in a timely and accurate manner.

Completes other various reports and keeps CFO informed of pertinent information relating to the day-to-day operations of the Fiscal Accounting Department.

Accounts payable management and data entry

Promotes a positive working environment and guest relations.

Assumes and/or performs additional duties as requested.

Promotes safety by attending mandatory inservices and complies with all safety measures initiated by the facility

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:       

Must have experience in general accounting, accounts payable and payroll.  Must be able to perform 10-key by touch.  Must have working knowledge of the computer, specifically with word processing and database applications. AS Degree or BA Preferred with emphasis in Accounting/Finance

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:     

Must have math skills to enable calculations of payroll/accounting numbers/rates.

Must be able to perform concentrated and/or complex mental activity with frequent involvement in complex and/or highly technical situations.

Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision;

Must be able to work successfully under highly stressful conditions;

Must be able to make sound, independent judgments based on ethical principles;

Must have skills in trouble-shooting, flexibility and prioritizing workload.

Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;

Must be able to collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members in an appropriate fashion;

Must be capable of adapting to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis;

Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal.
