Position Summary:
Processes Payroll on a bi-weekly basis; Kronos duties includes working closely with the managers, supervisor, directors, and the Kronos Coordinators to ensure that all employee hours are accurate and follow the daily and weekly pay rules in accordance with the state and federal laws, as well as the hospital policies and procedures; c. Lawson duties include the completion of payroll audits primarily during the payroll week. Once the Kronos hours are pulled and interfaced with Lawson, all audits and reconciliations must be performed. Audits may be related to the following: PTO/ ELB hours, high dollars and/or hours, Leaves of Absences, wage garnishments, and all other payroll deductions. d. Processes special and termination checks when required and ensures that they are ready by the prescribed deadline. All types of terminations (voluntary with or without notice and involuntary) must be handled in a timely manner in accordance with state and federal laws. e. Payroll corrections including, but not limited to incorrect or missed swipes, badge issues, direct deposit rejections, lost checks and stop pays are processed by payroll. All of these processes require good communication skills directly to the manager/supervisor/lead or employee to provide the correct pay in a timely manner. f. Corresponds closely with the Human Resources Department regarding any appropriate employee issues. g. Ensures that all wage garnishments are followed according to the order and the Federal and State laws. h. Ensures that the current pay practices are being followed according to policy. Works with Corporate to reconcile employee wages for completion of accurate W-2s.
Associates Degree preferred; Three-five years' payroll experience required Kronos experience preferred Health care experience preferred; Payroll certification preferred
