The Nashville Regional Office, a UHS facility, located in Brentwood, Tn. services the Payroll, Business Office, Administrative and Accounting functions for various Behavioral Health treatment facilities throughout the United States.  The UHS Regional Office is seeking a dynamic and talented Payroll Specialist/Analyst.  The Payroll Specialist/Analyst will ensure accurate processing and recording of company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information and participate in daily data entry payroll processing.

 

 

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately process biweekly payroll for multiple multi-state healthcare facilities while adhering to strict deadlines

  • Assist in managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

  • Responsible for processing the more challenging and complex facility payrolls as well as assisting in payroll transition projects

  • Adheres to all state and federal regulations for payroll processing

  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits

  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance

  • Execute Kronos time and attendance processing when necessary and perform interface with Lawson payroll

  • Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks

  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)

  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed

  • Understand the FLSA application to payroll issues

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations

  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel

  • Working knowledge of Kronos, Lawson, and Enterprise check request system

  • Strong work ethic and team player

  • High degree of professionalism

  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills

  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management

  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
