The National Sales Strategy team leads strategic planning and directs the national account retail selling for the beverages division. The organization brings strategic focus and enhanced communication to PepsiCos national customer accounts and bottlers. The team is responsible for providing advertising, marketing, sales and promotional support to these key constituents. They seek to develop the beverage category and identify the key priorities for increasing sales. There are three different teams within the National Sales & Strategy organization that interns can be placed within: National Sales Strategy, Customer Team, or Business Development and Commercialization.

The National Sales Strategy team specifically focuses on growing the beverage category through encapsulating priorities and strategies of the annual operating plan. The Customer teams are the Global Sales teams for PepsiCo in which general managers operate sales teams representing PepsiCo to our largest and most strategic customers. These teams are directly responsible for developing the annual account strategy and operating plan, delivering the sales P&L, and management of relationships with customers.
