Canyon Ridge Hospital a 106-bed behavioral health facility located on the western edge of San Bernardino County.  Canyon Ridge Hospital is a full-service psychiatric hospital that operates within a 15-mile radius of Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  Canyon Ridge Hospital has been a public resource for behavioral health and substance abuse treatment in the greater Inland Empire since 1989.  Our acute care facility offers a safe and comfortable environment for both adults and adolescents.  By offering a full spectrum of services (such as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient), Canyon Ridge Hospital is able to provide a full continuum of care for its clients.


The Cook position is available. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

Responsible for using food service equipment, utensils and supplies in the production and serving of nutritious, quality meals to patients, visitors and staff. Serve food in correct portions during scheduled time frames for meal services.

Job Requirements

The following are the job requirements for the Cook Position:

Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as conversations and foot traffic; must be able to consistently meet deadlines; and finish all food preparation at specified serving times; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs. Must be able to read and comprehend recipes or instructions on prepackaged products. Ability to read, convert and adjust mathematical measurements for recipe adjustments. Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions. Must be able to adjust recipes to achieve desired results. Must have ability to perform several tasks concurrently. Must have skills in maintaining information as highly confidential. Food handlers permit required. Must work well in a fast paced environment, must be flexible with scheduling.

*Must be available to work weekends, evening shifts and holidays.
