OurPer Diemnurses most work a minimum of (6)six shiftspermonth.Shifts are from 6:00am to 6:00pm or 6:00pm to 6:00am. Our - Assessing patients through a systematic process of interacting with patient, the patient’s significant others, and the appropriate health care providers. - Administering medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner utilizing the “Five Rights” of medication administration - Collecting and analyzing data regarding the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs. - Developing a comprehensive outline of care and specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning. - Monitoring patients following nursing unit policies and procedures. - Communicating changes in patient’s condition or legal status with other unit personnel and attending physician. - Serving as back-up charge nurse for unit or shift, providing supervision of routine task assignments of RN’s, LPN’s and MHA’s. - Informing incoming shift of any changes or problems with patients to promote continuity of care. - Participating in hospital emergency codes necessary to the unit’s and the hospital’s safe operation. - Reviewing patients records for accuracy and ensure that treatment plan and progress notes clearly reflect progress of patient and family. - Complying with safety and security policies and procedures, including those regarding incidents and injuries.
