Texoma Medical Center, a 351-bed healthcare system has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Position Summary:    Functions as an advanced PCT within the Operating Room assisting Anesthesia, Staff, and Surgeons to insure instruments, supplies, and equipment are available when needed for surgical procedures. Insures anesthesiad supplies are stocked and up to date for use by the Anesthesia Department for patient care. Functions as a preceptor and resource person for the PCT I area of responsibility. Evaluates products for cost effectiveness in services of responsibility. Integrally involved with cost containment issues in the OR. Serves as a role model to other staff members. Exhibits knowledge of age specific needs of patients of all psychosocial, and/or cultural backgrounds.

 
Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent

Two (2) years work experience as a PCT I - Sterile Processing Tech, Anesthesia Tech or I year scrub tech experience

Read and write at a minimum of 12th grade level. Basic computer skills Knowledge of sterilization process, Anesthesia equiment and supplies.
