**Grad Dates** 2nd year students graduating in spring 2018

**What will I do?**

Pfizer Business Analytics is comprised of three distinct analytic groups:

+ Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) which supports product development and commercial strategy with customer insights, marketing, and sales force analytics

+ Portfolio & Decision Analysis (PDA) which is focused on optimizing asset and portfolio value, evaluating R&D productivity, and supporting portfolio strategy and therapeutic area development

+ Business Development Evaluation (BDE) which determines the value of external opportunities ranging from single asset licenses to public M&A

The Business Analytics (BA) Manager is responsible for delivering and leading analytic support for global, regional, and country business partners, driving insights to action for some of the most critical business questions for Pfizer. Business questions range from which assets and new business ventures to invest in, to how we can communicate most effectively with our patients and healthcare professionals, to what are the industry and competitive signals we should look at in a changing health landscape. Depending on the BA group and the specific project, the colleague will provide analytics-based market insights, business intelligence, market research, forecasting and business case support, as well as overall project management and thought partnership to Pfizer colleagues and leadership.

The BA Manager uses strong consultative skills along with rigorous analytic capabilities including secondary data analysis, primary research, and forecasting to frame business problems, design analytic solutions, and deliver business insights that influence business strategy and planning. Typical projects include in-market product/portfolio analysis, pipeline asset valuation, product launch planning, market and competitive landscaping, deal evaluation, field force sizing and targeting, and promotional resource optimization.

Depending on the project, the Manager works both independently to execute business analytics, but also leverages the depth and breadth of subject matter expertise across the BA organization and other groups at Pfizer to ensure the delivery of robust insights and recommendations to the business.
