Position Title: PGIM Fixed Income - Vice President, Consultant Relations
Job Code: 437158
Job Location: New Jersey-Newark

PGIM Fixed Income (PGIMFI) is one of the largest fixed income managers in the world and is one of eight asset management boutiques under PGIM. We manage assets for institutional, retail, sovereign wealth and insurance companies around the globe. PGIMFI is headquartered in Newark, NJ and has additional offices in London, Singapore and Tokyo. We offer a number of different fixed income strategies including corporate, high yield, bank loans, emerging market debt, structured products, mortgages, governments, multi-sector (core/core plus), municipals, money markets and liability-driven investment strategies.

Consultant Relations Team

PGIMFI operates as a very lean and flat organization. The consultant relations team has a presence in Newark, London and in Tokyo. The function of the consultant relations team is twofold. First, the team is focused on properly positioning each of our strategies with the top consulting firms to achieve the highest ratings possible with each firm. Second, we serve as the main point of contact for consultants to assist them in navigating our organization. This may include such things as providing them with information on common clients, delivering intellectual capital to assist them with their advice to clients or working with them to better understand various vehicle structures.

Key Attributes Needed to be Successful at PGIMFI

As an organization, PGIMFI has been extremely successful over the last decade from both an investment performance and asset growth perspective. While this success can be attributed to a very stable team, strong investment process and a detailed risk framework, we like to think that all of these items flow from our unique culture. We spend a great deal of time thinking about and searching for candidates who fit this culture. Our focus is on hiring the smartest individuals with the least amount of ego who understand that the whole is greater than the individual. Employees who are successful at PGIMFI tend to understand their role within the organization, strive to do the right thing for the client at all times, communicate well with their partners and are constantly looking for ways to improve our work processes.
