Job Description

The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.

  • The Pharmacist is responsible for the complete and efficient operation of the pharmacy within all legal and accreditation/certification requirements and applicable facility policies, procedures, codes and standards.

Job Requirements
  • Education:  Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Program is required.
  • Experience:  A minimum of five (1) year pharmaceutical experience is required; must possess the experience to oversee the provision of medication requirements for the patient populations treated in the facility, including knowledge of dosage for age-specific populations.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed as a Pharmacist in the applicable state. Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Additional Requirements:  A working knowledge of JCAHO standards, OSHA regulations, and state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
