Job Details

The Pharmacy Business Director will be responsible for:

+ To own the delivery of the PEH Pharmacy Business sales line

+ To lead the development of a One Pfizer Policy and Strategy for Community Pharmacy and work cross functionally to ensure all Business Units have a robust plan for Community Pharmacy engagement aligned to the One Pfizer Strategy

+ In partnership with the PEH Pharmacy CVP lead, develop and implement the PEH Strategy for Community Pharmacy nationally

+ To lead a team of 4 Commercial Account Managers and have oversight of a team of 6-10 contractors as required to develop customer centric account plans and deliver agreed programs and activities across the customer base

+ Accountable to drive the Strategic and Operational Plans for the top Community Pharmacy Accounts

+ Ensure robust plans are in place for all target pharmacy accounts and support the Strategic Account Managers and Regional Business Managers to ensure alignment across their goals and the PharmacyNational Strategy.

+ Accountable for the One Pfizer relationships with Community Pharmacy bodies across the UK

+ In conjunction with Pharmacy Marketing Team develop joint working initiatives with strategically important customers to drive mutually beneficial outcomes which continually develop the role of pharmacy in delivering services aligned with the changing requirements of the NHS

+ In conjunction with the Pharmacy Marketing Team, develop innovative programs to support the appropriate uptake and use of Pfizer prescription medicines, particularly in relation to pre and post LOE management

+ To personally own the relationship with the most senior stakeholders within the Community Pharmacy Strategic Customers and Representative Bodies as agreed with the PEH Retail BU Lead and to own the engagement plan for Pfizer Board Members and Senior Directors to ensure appropriate customer engagement at all levels including Managing Director and key board members

+ Be an Active member of the PEH Retail Leadership Team and lead projects and initiatives to support the PEH LT, PEH Europe and beyond as agreed


**Strategy Development**

+ Work cross functionally to develop a One Pfizer Policy & Strategy for Community Pharmacy

+ Responsible for the development of robust strategic and operational plans for all key purchasing and representative customers

+ Ensure customer insights are created and effectively communicated to relevant marketing teams to develop a customer centric value proposition for all Pharmacy universe segments

+ Be the conduit between the pharmacy customer and all pharmacy marketing teams, both in the provision of customer insight to inform strategy and in the analysis of business performance

+ Input into the Supply Chain Board and distribution strategy to ensure appropriate consideration is made of key customer requirements and the evolving approach to NHS Dispensing

+ KOL development and pharmacy industry body relationship ownership to develop and provide strategic insights into the business **Business Performance**

+ Owns sales revenue line for Community Pharmacy Business

+ Achieve Sales Targets across pharmacy universe customers

+ Accountable for delivery of agreed programs across customer base

+ Improve Pfizer's reputation with pharmacy customers

+ Drive increased market share for key customers in agreed disease areas

+ Support the engagement across One Pfizer with pharmacy customers, to facilitate the delivery of all pharmacy business plans

+ Manage the allocated budgets to ensure that expenditure is in line with expectation

+ Ensure the highest levels of integrity are maintained at all times and fully adhere with Pfizer SOP's and principles **Account Management**

+ Develop and manage the senior stakeholder engagement plan and ensure all UKMF members and other senior leaders are fully briefed and engaged with their allocated customers

+ Annual customer centric account plans developed, presented, approved and implemented for all key pharmacy customers

+ Effective relationships developed with key senior personnel within accounts, government and professional bodies

+ Leadership of a virtual team to deliver all account objectives

+ Identification and prioritisation of key strategic initiatives to drive forward the Pfizer/Customer relationship and/or the role of pharmacy in the NHS.

+ Development of Strategic & Key Account Management competencies for self and all team members, working with the Global KAM CoE to ensure an effective use of the Global to Local, and Local to Global principles

+ Embrace and lead a multi-channel engagement model for pharmacy making maximum use of face to face and digital assets to drive the business **Leadership**

+ To ensure the strategy, plans and activities are aligned with One Pfizer, Pfizer UK & PEH stated Vision, Imperatives and Priorities

+ To recruit and maintain a highly motivated and effective team

+ To own the Contract Sales Organisation relationships for PEH Retail BU

+ To monitor and develop the team to ensure that sales and growth targets are met and that staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills and support to perform effectively

+ Ensure full implementation of the Pfizer GPM, Talent Management and Power2Learn

+ Agree resources required for delivery of strategies, plans and programs

+ Utilisation of all reward & recognition tools to leverage performance

+ Regular colleague reviews of performance and full use of competency matrix, IDPs etc

+ Effective leadership of BU, Country and Regional level project **Self Development**

+ Take ownership of own GPM process

+ To pro-actively implement/update personal development plans in order to develop self within the role

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

+ University degree in science, life sciences or business; graduate studies in management is an asset

+ Knowledge of pharmaceutical environment within speciality within the UK

+ Ideally the candidate would have a previous working knowledge of and insights into Community Pharmacy

+ A Strategic thinker, who understands the value of a customer centric approach to business management

+ Strong business acumen, with proven skills in negotiation and sales leadership, ideally with significant national account management expertise

+ Well organized with ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and effectively perform under tight timelines

+ Ability to balance short term needs and long term vision

+ Ability to analyse and define and convey complex concepts and strategies in verbal and written communication to demanding audiences (internal and external)

+ Strong interpersonal skills required as well as excellent communication and presentation skills

+ An experienced people leader, with demonstrated ability to manage performance and development of first line colleagues

+ Core digital capabilities:

+ Capability to use digital technology provided by the organisation

+ Confident and competent with digital compliance requirements

+ Experience in using a range of digital platforms

+ Basic understanding of core digital metrics used by the organisation

+ Awareness and integration of digital channels to meet our customer needs
