Position Summary:

For more than 25 years, Turning Point Care Center has provided a place of healing and hope to adults who suffer from behavioral health disorders and/or substance abuse. We are committed to providing quality behavioral health care through our inpatient and outpatient gender specific programs in Moultrie, GA. Turning Point is currently seeking an experienced Physician's Assistant or Clinical Nurse Specialist/Practitioner with Psych Certification. The Physician's Assistant provides comprehensive mental health assessments, determines diagnosis plans, prescribes treatments, and manages mental health care regimens with the designated physician. The Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner provides advanced practice nursing support for patients through working with the treatment team and identifying patient treatment needs, medication assessments and adjustments, and utilization review support as needed.



  • Education/Licensure:
    • Physician's Assistant: Graduate of AAPA approved Physician Assistant training program.
    • Clinical Nurse Specialist/Practitioner: Masters level licensure as APRN/NP, with Clinical Nurse Specialist, Psychiatric NP or psychiatric clinical nurse specialist with prescriptive authority. Psych certification required.
  • Experience: Partial Hospital Program and/or inpatient Psychiatric/Behavioral Health experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Must be proficient with written and verbal communication skills. Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to interact compassionately and appropriately with patients and their families on a regular basis. Professional demeanor and appearance, as well as the ability to deal tactfully with sensitive situations and maintain patient confidentiality. Must be able to interact effectively with other hospital departments to achieve desired outcome for the patient. Knowledge and mastery of DSM-V and biopsychosocial assessments.
