+ The Global Innovative Pharma (PIH) Tunisia & Libya Lead is responsible for leading, managing and developing Pfizer's Innovative Pharma business and driving strong performance across the entire Innovative portfolio.

+ To represent country interests as a member of the North Africa Leadership Team, and at the country leadership level (CMF)

+ To drive the creation of a unified 'innovative platform' to proactively influence the internal and external environment, working closely with shared support functions (e.g. H&V, Public Affairs, Communications, Legal)

+ The PIH Lead is responsible for developing agile leaders, while defining a vision and path to create a highly engaged organization to achieve its strategic and financial goals.

+ To ensure that all activities and decisions are conducted in accordance with Company policies and SOPs, Pfizer Values, and global guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), as appropriate.

People and Leadership

+ Work with above country BU teams to provide input strategic / brand / operating plans.

+ Develop understanding of Pfizer Inc and BU strategies and how they specifically relate to the country.

+ Participate in the Country Management Team with a One Pfizer mindset to optimize results for Pfizer in country.

+ Collaboration and partnership with enabling and platform functions services to ensure services for the Cluster are met

+ Support the continual building of the OWNIT Culture within the BU and across the country organization

+ Engage and develop colleagues across BUs and functions.

+ Lead and coach a high performing team to develop colleagues within the country in line with the Pfizer competency model.

+ Build and actively manage a pipeline of succession talent.

+ Upholding and modeling Pfizer values, OWNIT culture elements, and visible and inspirational leadership

General Strategy

+ Develop and execute innovative business strategies/models to maximize revenue, market share, and income growth.

+ Identify and implement growth opportunities that return significant upside

+ Develop and implement innovative partnership / BD opportunities that leverage existing strengths and capabilities

+ Ensure launch excellence, in collaboration with global and regional teams, to achieve maximum potential revenue for Xeljanz, Eliquis, Prevenar Adult, Ibrance and other new upcoming assets

+ Maximize lifecycle product performance through strong innovative planning and execution.

+ Invest and leverage the base business to ensure sustainable contribution to Pfizer Inc.

+ Identify and exploit market specific opportunities to grow revenue and income.

+ Develop and implement solutions that are relevant to the respective cluster markets

Customer Facing

+ Personal ownership of key stakeholder relationships

+ Various stakeholders

+ KOLs

+ Drive execution of customer strategies and tactics

+ Develop and lead integrated cross functional customer facing teams appropriate to market needs

Operational and Financial Performance

+ Optimize the in-country portfolio of the PIH BU, and manages daily operations of the business

+ Optimize PIH healthcare environment issues management, and shaping of the healthcare landscape

+ Maximize revenue and IBT performance through rigorous management of the P&L and in alignment with goals.

+ Manage expenses and investments according to plan goals.

+ Monitor performance of the business and implement course-correcting actions in agreement with the regional management team

+ Legal and fiduciary responsibility for compliance management and relationships with pharma associations.

+ Working with the Country Manager to develop and maintain relationships with government / industry boards/ committees to ensure Pfizer projects a positive, market leading image on public affairs matters, reputation and media.

+ Lead the roll-out of regional / global initiatives, communication and policies that impact PIH

+ Set strategic long term vision for the organization; obtain stakeholder buy-in and colleague engagement.

+ Ensure the successful identification, planning and capitalization of new product/business opportunities to develop the business in line with PIH strategic direction.

+ Ensure optimal allocation of resources for the attainment of business goals and objectives

+ Attract, develop and retain talent and grow leaders in the organization.

+ Contribute actively as a member of the North Africa PIH leadership team.

+ Ensure all business are served effectively by shared functions, and coordinate key field force agreements, where required.


+ Ensure high standards of Compliance to norms, policies, and procedures.


Indicate qualifications that are job related, consistent with business necessity and necessary for the performance of an essential function of this role including: education/licenses/certifications, relevant experience (where legally permissible), technical and/or other job-related skills.

+ University Degree, advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA, PharmD)

+ Proven success in leading the management of a multi-brand portfolio

+ 10+ years of direct P&L management

+ Broad knowledge and experience of the relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical environment
