Position Overview:


PGIM Real Estate seeks to hire a portfolio manager for its newly created Impact Investing real estate group.  The ideal candidate will have a professional background that includes deep client and stakeholder management skills; capital raising experience; rigorous analytical training; deep connection to the impact investing space; a broad real estate background with experience in asset management, transactions, debt, and portfolio management; strong leadership skills and excellent presentation skills are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:


Portfolio Management

  • Assist in creating investment strategies and guidelines suitable to meet fund objectives.
  • Analyze investment results and portfolio performance in relation to portfolio objectives.
  • Alter strategies to compensate for unanticipated events or market changes.

Investment Management

  • Assist Transactions in identifying and underwriting investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners and market participants.

Business Development

  • Lead and participate in fund raising efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, clients and marketing personnel.


Impact evaluation and reporting

  • Review and design appropriate impact evaluation and reporting tools
  • Ensure that all investments maximize impact opportunities and social impacts are properly evaluated within the investment process


Client Relations/Communications

  • Direct messaging for client reports/perform client presentations detailing portfolio activity and results.  
  • Respond to client and consultant requests, inquiries and issues.


Internal Stakeholder Communications

  • Lead internal communications between PGIM and the Impact team, cultivating an inclusive stakeholder process. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships across the firm. 


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business administration, economics, finance or real estate. Master’s Degree with an emphasis on finance, economics or real estate, preferred
  • 15-25 years of experience across impact investing, real estate portfolio management, asset management, transactions, development or related discipline preferred
  • Broad knowledge of impact measurement and trends in the impact investing space
  • Broad knowledge of real estate markets and product types along with significant experience in areas of financial analysis, asset management, development, acquisitions, sales, financing and partnership structuring
  • Understanding of economics and risk/rewards involved in various types of real estate transactions
  • Understanding of portfolio goals and how specific properties contribute to performance
    Knowledge of fund accounting, financial reporting, diversification strategies, and attribution analysis
  • High standard of moral and ethical judgment and behavior
  • Ability to manage complexities.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
