What You'll Do

As a Post-Sales Engineer you will help our customers, colleagues and partners in the use of our products. This requires an analytical approach to problem solving and deep understanding of software development and testing in a Linux environment. You will answer our customers’ questions, recreate their problem scenarios, find workarounds and work with our engineering teams to pinpoint problems and solutions. You will gain deep technical knowledge in the use and inner workings of our product lines, and will act as a technical contact point between the Technical Services TAC centres worldwide and our own engineering teams.

Who You'll Work With

You will be a member of the Tail-f Technical Support team, a talented group of Software engineers, primarily based in Stockholm, Sweden. The team is a part of the Tail-f Engineering group that have created the ConfD and NSO management and orchestration platforms, developed the YANG and Netconf standards and became part of Cisco in 2014, through an acquisition.

Who You Are

The perfect candidate for this role is interested in next generation networking technologies and in helping customers & partners use and deploy our network management and orchestration products.

You are probably a software engineer with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science and previous experience from working in a software development or technical support role.

This position requires:

• 3+ years of experience in software development and product support within the telecom and IP domain

• Experience from software development in a variety of programming languages and development platforms, such as C, Java, shell script etc. in a Linux environment

• Unix/Linux system experience including experience in compiling and customizing a Linux installation

• Understanding the concepts of data modelling

• Network management knowledge

• Fluency in the English language
