What You'll Do

As a Systems Engineer at Cisco, you will work closely with our Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Cisco product solutions, setting up demonstrations and explaining features and benefits to customers. You will also design and configure products to meet specific customer needs. By gaining access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in a variety of vertical markets, and learning quickly, you can stay current in technological aptitude. Your interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills would evoke passion and confidence in the team.

  • Ability to stay up-to-date on creative and bold solutions, products and services
  • Provide technical and sales support for accounts in assigned territory
  • Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects
  • Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities
  • Actively participate as a specialist on the assigned Virtual Team and provide consultative support in your area of specialization to other Systems Engineers.

Who You Are

  • You would bring in 5+ years of industry related experience
  • Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area is also preferred
  • It would be good to have about 1 or 2 years of Pre-Sales experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent. CCNP CCDP or similar vendor certification
  • Good generalist knowledge across Cisco’s solutions set, with deeper knowledge of one technical specialization (Collaboration, Data Centre & Virtualization or Security, or Enterprise network)
