Systems Engineer – Security Sales

What You'll Do

The Security System Engineer (CSE’s) primary responsibility is to provide customers with technical guidance and technical support on the Cisco Security Solution Portfolio. Candidates should be expert with content security (Email, Web, Anti-Spam) Network Security (Firewall, IPS, ISE/NAC, VPN, etc) and should have a strong background in the Network & Security domain generally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1.  Analyze and qualify pre-sales opportunities
  2.  Manage and drive customer PoC, evaluations to ensure high rate of successful business results
  3.  Provide technical pre-sales support for the sales teams
  4.  Provide Cisco product education to our customers
  5.  Educate and evangelize to customers, Cisco Security technology & Solutions.
  6.  Articulate the high-level benefits of the Cisco Security solution set to our target audiences (typically senior security management up to CSO)
  7.  Convey the advantages of our solutions to technical stakeholders via in depth product presentations and demonstrations. 
  8. Support the activities of the sales team within India & SAARC through impacting market awareness (seminars, public events etc).
  9. Direct support of identified customer opportunities and development.
  10. Manage technology validation exercises successfully.
  11. Build relationships with technical and business partners that engender long, successful ongoing business.
  12. Present technological solutions in a business relevant way to all levels of the customer organization.

 

Develop and Present Solutions

 

  1. Engage with customers to move forward with the opportunity.
  2. Develop, plan and co-ordinate with the sales team with regard to deliverables and presentations for specific opportunities. 

 

Solution and Architectural Selling

 

  1. Ensure the detailed features, functionality and architectural impact of Cisco technology in designs and proposals are understood, valued communicated and successfully demonstrated to customers.
  2. (Preferable) Build a working knowledge of technology shifts that impact security and other architectures. For example the role of software defined networking and data centre architectures

Who You Are

Qualifications and Experience:

University degree in a technical discipline or equivalent

At least 5 years of experience

Pre-sales SE experience preferred

Cisco CCIE Security highly regarded

Very strong network security knowledge and experience, including an understanding of the role of various technologies in enterprise security

Good presentation skills and the ability to build and present high quality material around Cisco Security Solutions

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

A consultative selling approach and a genuine personal commitment to customer success
