Description AT&T is looking for a driven and skilled Software Architect within the Client Architecture group. You will be a member of a global client software team that defines architectures for leading edge media client devices. You will work with diverse and cross-functional groups such as Business, Product Development, User Experience, Software Developers, and Test engineers. You should enjoy a fast paced, dynamic and creative environment with a passion for keeping current with leading edge technology within the video and rich media industry. You will report to the Director for Client Architecture.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Ensures the alignment of client architecture to enterprise business capabilities and strategic domain plans with an emphasis on client applications and cloud services in the entertainment industry.

+ Leads the technology architecture stream and communicates to all engineering teams the appropriate technology breadth to ensure that the _technology and architecture under consideration supports the business direction_

+ Defines multiple technology options to new and maturing business capabilities and understands the financial, legal and technical impact of technology architecture alternatives.

+ Communicate complex ideas appropriately to varied levels from engineers, business partners, to executives. Responds to shifts in strategic direction and adapt and communicate solutions accordingly.

+ Proactively influence key business stakeholders, executives, directors, process owners, and program managers to ensure that program/ enterprise architecture technology objectives are met

+ Accounts for security, analytics, diagnostics when defining architectural designs and runways

+ Develop enterprise architecture technology strategies in the client devices domain in the video streaming space.

+ Plans, coordinates and communicates enterprise technology domain principles for client devices in the video streaming technology field.

+ Supports the development of frameworks and governance decisions at multiple levels of management

+ Ensures compliance with Enterprise Architecture governance standard as well as encourages enterprise technology solution reuse.

+ 10+ years of technical experience, with an emphasis on client devices in the entertainment industry

+ Deep knowledge and experience with Software Architecture for Android and other embedded devices, particularly in the video streaming and networking domain

+ Knowledge of Architecture and/or software and systems engineering disciplines with ability to author architecture and design documents. Specifically, experience with UML, Object-oriented design/design patterns, system level APIs, RESTful service architectures, network protocol, video streaming protocol, application frameworks

+ Knowledge of emerging enterprise technologies generally and specifically related to client devices in the entertainment industry

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering.

**Desired Qualifications:**

+ 10 - 15 years of experience in software architecture and engineering disciplines and practices including industry standard approaches and frameworks.

+ Knowledge of SDLC Agile methodologies.

+ Experience with several of the following: technology and domain trends, technology strategy formulations, architecture strategy, systems architecture, technology architecture in client devices within the entertainment industry/video streaming domain

+ Experience developing large scale software systems with multiple components/layers.

+ Excellent leadership, organization, and team collaboration skills.

+ Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills.

+ Ability to anticipate risks and provide solutions in the moment.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills, and must be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to clients’ business needs, including the ability to translate technical language into clear business language and vice versa

+ Master's degree a plus
