Valley Hospital is seeking dynamic and talented PRN (As needed) Behavioral Health Technicians  to join our team!

Valley Hospital is centrally located with easy access to many areas of greater Phoenix. We are between North 35th and 36th Streets with East Earl to our north and East Thomas to our south.

Valley Hospital is built on three core principles, outstanding care, compassionate people and unparalleled service. We are a private 122 bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency.

The Behavioral Heath Technician functions as an active and integral part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients and works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The BHT takes and records vital signs properly.  Monitors each patient location per the observation policy and procedure policy.. The BHT utilizes sound judgement during assessment and observation and documents any changes in a patient’s appearance, behavior or ability to work towards treatment plan goals.  The BHT communicates changes in patient’s condition to the charge nurse.

Please note this is a non-benefit eligible position and the individual selected will be required to work a minimum of 8 shifts per month.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years; or an Associate degree plus two years or work experience in a behavioral health; or a Bachelor’ s degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery.
