Job Description

Join us in being a community partner for mental health. AUSTIN OAKS HOSPITAL is seeking highly experienced licensed PRN/FT BILINGUAL Therapist.

AUSTIN OAKS HOSPITAL is an 80 bed acute psychiatric hospital offering inpatient services to Adult, Adolescents, and Children. The 13-acre, oak-lined campus in South Austin also includes outpatient services for Adults and Adolescents. Universal Health Services, Inc. The therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy to meet caseload requirements. Therapist responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Responsible for developing and writing treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats. - Is a liaison with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies. - Responsible for assessing, designing, structuring, and implementing therapeutic services that best meets the needs of patients and their families. - Working collaboratively as a treatment team member. Will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director. Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision for licensure (LMSW, LPC-I, or LMFT-A) Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred.

Job Requirements

Required: Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health field

Professionally licensed by the State of Texas: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LMFT

Required: At least 6 months’ work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect.

Prior inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of the hospital's designated behavioral and physical management training program including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required prior to assisting in the procedures. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
