University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care.

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff.

Job Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

Licensure and registration by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

 Experience; At least three (3) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience and extensive management background.                   

Current CPR and ACLS certification preferred

Additional Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of the Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA requirements, and state, federal, regulatory requirements preferred.

Successful completion of training in Handle with Care within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
