Role Summary
Responsible for driving call center Homelife sales and in-home consultations as a primary delivery channel for all Cox residential services and product lines while ensuring customer satisfaction.   Responsible for exceeding growth and profit objectives by maximizing the sale of Cox Home Life as well as video, voice, and data services to residential customers.  Note:  This is a high-intensity sales function servicing inbound, outbound, and “end to end”-calling customers on a quota, commission basis.  
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Initiates outbound pro-active courtesy calls to end to end customers with pending Homelife orders to ensure product and sales accuracy.
  • Troubleshoots pending Homelife orders to confirm, correct, and update order to reflect customer needs and desired.
  • Offers additional accessory equipment options to customers to ensure adequate coverage for their Homelife account.
  • Initiates outbound sales calls to existing and potential customers providing information about Cox products to contribute to increased sales results.
  • Follows up on Home Life leads generated from internal and external sources. 
  • Initiates outbound calls via the dialer to perspective and current customers.
  • Maximizes residential sales calls by selling Cox Communications Home Life products and services to new and existing customers generating revenue.
  • Schedules in-home Home Life consultations when customer prefers an in-home demonstration of the Home Life product. 
  • Utilizes sales skills to meet and or exceed production expectations by adhering to a defined call flow structure.
  • Utilizes multiple databases to access and create customer account information.
  • Understands and promotes current marketing campaigns and strategies to customers and potential customers.
  • Resolves customer concerns, overcomes customer objections and retains customers.
  • Completes timely and accurate records of sales and/or retention activities on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of Cox various products and services and presents product information in an accurate manner while ensuring solid customer service for the customer at all times. 


  • HS diploma or GED
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred in related field (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Home Security, etc.)
  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.; processes, procedures and customer contact matters. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, writen and verbal communication skills, above average math, multi-tasking, analytical problem solving, flexibility, organizational and collaborative skills to work effectively with external customers and teams throughout organization
  • AS/AA or Technical Certification in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.). 
  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Knowledge of ICOMS Sales Order Entry
