Description **ROLE SUMMARY**

Working within the Reliability Maintenance environment, performs preventive maintenance, modifies, installs, and maintains company process control systems and provides customer training in the implementation of those systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc). Can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up. Routinely exposed to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in motion, dusty and dirty conditions, stooping, bending and heavy lifting. May work variable shifts and 24 hour on-call as required. Participates in multicraft work activities as required. (EMU craft generic)



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

**A Maintenance Mechanic working within the Operations and Utilities environment. Performs preventive maintenance, modifies, installs, calibrates, and troubleshoots a multitude of measuring and control instruments which include: Analog, digital, electronic, pneumatic, and various other devices. The Mechanic also provides customer training in the implementation of those systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc). Can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up). Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and a proactive maintenance of systems and equipment in a cost effective manner.**

**Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include: May work variable shifts and 24 hour on call as required. Participates in multicraft work activities as required. (EMU craft generic).**

**Potential for exposure to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in motion, noisy, dusty and dirty conditions, stooping, bending and heavy lifting.**

**The proper use of the correct Personal Protective Equipment for each task as well as compliance with all applicable safety Standard Procedures is a must.**



**QUALIFICATIONS**

**High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus either an Associate's degree or relevant experience. Self-starter with ability to work independently and strong mechanical aptitude. Journeyman Process Instrumentation technician preferred but will also consider Licensed Journeyman Electrician with Instrument experience.**

**Completion of a company apprenticeship program or its equivalent is required.**

**Electrician Apprenticeship program plus minimum of 5 years related instrument experience such as: Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Conductivity, etc.**

**Minimum of 8 years related instrument experience, per above.**



**Additional qualifications required:**

**Excellent computer user skills are required (Microsoft systems).**

**Blue print reading a plus**

**Electrical diagram reading a plus**

**Excellent communications Skills**

**Strong work ethic and the ambition to be the best.**

**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**

2nd shift work hours 3pm-1130pm, Monday thru Friday

Must be able to pass aseptic gowning qualification

May work variable shifts and overtime as required
