We are looking for a world-class product marketing leader for parts of Cisco’s cloud security portfolio and will be a highly-visible role inside the company. The Cloud Security Business Unit operates as an independent start-up within Cisco with more than 800 employees leveraging the broader Cisco Security and Cisco engine. The opportunities for the CASB business are endless as we continue to redefine cloud security.

In this pivotal role, you will work with all parts of the Cisco cloud security team and greater Cisco to manage customer-facing marketing plans, as well as Sales and Partner enablement. You will drive positioning and messaging, analyze competitors, and become a leading cloud security voice throughout Cisco and the industry. We are looking for a creative strategic thinker with a passion for cloud and security who lives for a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate thrives at the cutting edge of creating solutions, has a deep understanding of cloud and security technologies, is an articulate presenter and strong writer and will be viewed as a key face of the company.


  • Drive Cisco’s positioning and messaging for several of Cisco Security’s portfolio solutions.
  • Be a product evangelist and spokesperson communicating with internal Cloud Security and Cisco audiences (sales, sales engineering, product management, business development, engineering, etc.)
  • Support our sales organization as the owner for key sales enablement initiatives (multi-product solutions, presentations, battle cards, demos, etc.) Jointly plan and execute marketing plans with Cisco’s Demand Generation teams
  • Serve as a key stakeholder on the product launch team, owning and delivering on the go-to-market plan
  • Drive competitive research
  • Represent Cisco to external stakeholders (partners, press, analysts) through social media (twitter, blogs, etc.), webcasts, analyst briefings, and product demonstrations
  • Manage a team both directly and virtually


  • Ideal candidate has 10+ years of product marketing, product management, or solutions engineering experience in fast-growth B2B technology companies, ideally with a strong foundation in security and cloud
  • Innovative & creative outside-of-the box thinker who can ensure our competitive differentiation and market position is clearly articulated inside and outside the organization
  • High-energy, creative problem solver with an extroverted, entrepreneurial attitude
  • Enthusiastic personality, self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure without a lot of supervision
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to understand and create technical content that demonstrates business value for internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience in creating marketing materials for demand generation campaigns, composing tweets, writing blogs, website content, data sheet, magazine articles, press releases, datasheets and other promotional collateral and communications
  • Strong communicator: written, verbal (one-on-one, group, and large public presentations)
  • B.S. or B.A. required. MBA preferred.
