You will need an overall knowledge of the technology industry and market trends and monitor and report on the competition. In this role you will be expected to create highly impactful content targeted at specific audiences relative to a specific technology or business area.

The role operates within the global Enterprise Network Marketing team and will focus on our Enterprise routing portfolio which includes SD-WAN, Virtualization and Cloud solutions.

With ownership of core solutions that are fundamental to the success of Cisco, we are taking on a new journey to show how the network is driving the future of Digital Business. The Enterprise Marketing team is responsible for delivering the outbound and inbound vision and messages to targeted audience while coordinating marketing efforts across the globe by partnering with our regional and extended marketing teams.

Who You Are

We are recruiting for a Marketing Storyteller who will support the transformation of how Cisco talks about our Enterprise Network Solutions by creating engaging content to communicate Cisco’s story and drive awareness and demand. The successful candidate will have the essential skill to understand client and partner business. Our ideal candidate will:

  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders (sales teams, regional and local marketing, solutions marketing, product management and technical experts) to create targeted content.
  • Create content using templates and guidelines to adhere to brand, journeys, targeted personas, creative platform guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, blogs, white papers, case studies, social media posts, ebooks, infographics and videos.
  • Contribute to the global marketing community in your given topic area and serve as a subject matter expert to the regions.
  • Track general business indicators, including market share, attach rates and competitor’s marketing and sales program activities.
  • Analyze and develop differentiation against competitors.
  • Work with marketing communications or directly with agencies for final content creative and production.
  • Track the performance of the content that they are creating and executing.

You offer:

  • 2-5 years of professional content writing and marketing experience in the technology industry (either B2B or B2C). Examples will be requested.
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness of the latest marketing trends (outward focused).
  • Broad technology awareness with an understanding of routing and routing solutions and networking concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate, lead and work in a fast-paced matrixed organization.
  • An established track record of developing impactful marketing content from conception through to execution.
  • Strategic and tactical expertise in social media.
  • Experienced in copywriting and editing whilst adhering to brand and tone of voice guidelines.
  • Experienced in all stages of creating a successful content campaign i.e. planning, strategy, execution and distribution.
  • You are highly creative with a proven ability to develop and manage engaging and original content through different channels.
  • Comfortable collaborating with global/regional/local colleagues as part of a physical or virtual team.
  • Self motivated and has the ability to motivate and influence others.
