We are looking for a client-facing Product Owner to join a talented team in a fast-paced, high-profile project to build an automotive reconditioning platform. Responsibilities include working with the client team to gather, prioritize, and translate requirements into user stories, working with the engineering team to explain and verify user stories, and occasional travel to sites around the country to support the client roll out.


Xtime (a Cox Automotive company) provides a fully integrated, cloud-based system that boosts customer retention for automotive manufacturers and dealerships in the U.S. and internationally. Other notable companies within the Cox Automotive brand are Autotrader, Manheim, and Kelly Blue Book.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced weekly sprint and release cycles.
  • Gather requirements from all stakeholders and make them visible in the backlog.
  • Keep the backlog prioritized according to importance.
  • Build and maintain a good relationship with the client team and client management.
  • Prepare release notes and communicate them to the client.
  • Act as point-of-contact for new requirements and to triage production issues.
  • Participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Clearly communicate the requirements to the team.
  • Work with individual team members as needed to explain requirements.
  • Verify user stories are complete before passing them on to User Acceptance Testing.
  • Work together with the team to complete sprint commitments.
  • Comfortable working with the team and the client on East Coast time.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of both technology and process.


  • Bachelor degree with 5-7 years work experience, with bonus for Computer Science.
  • Experience working within a cross-functional team using Agile/Scrum.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner required.
  • Experience in a client-facing role preferred.
  • Automotive experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Project Manager will contribute to this role, which spans all 3 areas.
  • Openness to learning new technology and processes, and to expand skillset as a member of a cross-functional team.
