Job Title: Production Line Scheduler

Description:

This position will report directly to the Product Planning Manager and will be highly computer intensive including maintaining and creating Excel Spreadsheets and databases. The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point) and be knowledgeable in Frito Lay or similar systems.

 Assess demand and capacity to determine appropriate inventory levels.
 Construct and align Master schedules to meet demand.
 Construct Hourly/Shift schedules.
 Prepare & Facilitate Scheduling Meetings.
 Maintain an accurate need-sheet.
 Adjust DRP (Demand Resource Planning) settings to ensure an accurate demand forecast. Utilize SCO tools to include item settings report.
 Plan Master Schedules that include Maintenance and Sanitation.
 Facilitate action-planning and follow-up discussions in the Scheduling Meeting.
 Assist with Supply Chain Initiatives and other SCO related activities including Pipeline analysis, and product ordering.
 Participate in the Master Line Scheduling Meetings
 Maintain DPP system to insure Scheduling Potential Goals are met for the site.
 Daily schedules sent to all resources via email.
 Lead the Business Proposal Process by facilitating the communication and scheduling of promotions and volume shipments.
 Partner with the Processing and Packaging teams through on-the-floor experience to gain perspective of floor operation needs and develop win / win solutions to production scheduling issues.


  • High School Diploma required
  • Schedule will be Sunday through Thursday
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including generating/maintaining spreadsheets in Excel and PowerPoint slides. The candidate should have the ability to create their own spreadsheets in addition to maintaining and troubleshooting current ones.
  • Knowledgeable in Frito-Lay systems preferable; experience with ICS a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and following all to completion concurrently.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and strategize a heavy workload to ensure timely completion.
  • Solid interpersonal skills: Scheduling Admin will be required to interact and solve problems with other plants, departments, and functions. Must have a very strong/positive customer service oriented attitude to deliver results the right way.
  • Phone/Customer service skills are a required in the role
