Current position is located in McPherson, Ks. The Production Planner role coordinates implementation of the production schedules to achieve objectives, i.e. meet plant financial plan and forecast, eliminate backorders, maintain inventory dollar levels at budget, and provide materials for efficient Manufacturing and Packaging operation.


+ Reviews and monitors the Production and Packaging Schedule during scheduling period to ensure schedule supports expected release dates. Identifies and corrects scheduling problems, issues the finite weekly schedules, initiates action for scheduling changes and coordinates schedule changes throughout the plant. This position, in coordination with other Production Planners, will coordinate the production schedules in support of above site requirements.

+ Responsible for ensuring the plant meets its inventory goals, customer service goals and throughput goals for activity through proper scheduling.

+ Load and maintain work orders based on PC1 purchase orders and requested analyst revisions. Review and assist in establishing and revising LE for PC1 and Hospira.

+ Supports timely new product releases into the market place.


+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work related experience is required.

+ 2-3 years of experience in professional level Production, Quality or R&D positions required.

+ APICS or CPM preferred

+ Excellent knowledge of computer programs and MRP systems.

+ Good knowledge of total plant operations including but not limited to production, material flow, batch record documentation, quality issues, validation requirements, new products, contract customers and financial implications to the plant.
