Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE

The Production Support Analyst Payroll assists subject matter experts with the testing of Payroll related system changes, ensuring data integrity, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement testing and other technical projects as assigned. The primary focus of this position is to collaborate directly with Information Technology, Human Resources and other business departments in order to deliver cost-effective and efficient processes and act as a liaison between the business areas and the technical community. This role serves as the functional analyst for the planning, development, and implementation of projects to support Payroll Systems initiatives and changes as well as ongoing maintenance of payroll systems. Successful performance in this role requires the investment of time to gain in-depth knowledge about the business areas supported, and a high comfortable level in discussing change impacts and issues. This position typically reports to a Manager or Lead of HRIS and has 0 direct reports.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensures security and maintenance requests are processed in a timely manner
- Maintains a good working knowledge of the applications(s) supported including: Purpose, capabilities, limitations and use within the business
- Develops functional requirements to meet business objectives
- Develops user acceptance tests to ensure successful validation of system functionality
- Partners with IT to ensure understanding and translation into technical requirements
- Ensures reported incidents are tracked and documented (including scope, resource requirements, and impact)

Reports to Lead Sr Analyst, Production Support Payroll
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

Additional Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years HR experience preferred
HR consulting experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Good oral and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
  • Organized 
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects 
  • Good computer skills and experience with process mapping software programs
