Position Description:
The Production Support Sr. Analyst works collaboratively across HR and IT to maintain HR systems – including system configuration, security and issue resolution. When issues are reported, they perform advanced troubleshooting at the application level; identify the area of fault (code, environment, or configuration); documents the functional requirements and works with the appropriate team in the construction and implementation of the fix. Issues must be tracked in the Case Management system with clear documentation regarding the research and resolution of the issue. They work with Production Support Analysts to maintain the security for all HR systems and support year-end payroll system changes. They must be willing to invest the time to have in-depth knowledge about the business applications they support and be comfortable discussing change impacts and issues.
• Provides Application Support for one or more applications
• Understands business goals and application requirements
• Maintains a good working knowledge of the applications(s) supported including: purpose, capabilities, limitations and use within the business
• Troubleshoots and provides root-cause analysis and proposes solutions for issues or routes to appropriate escalation group
• Creates communication vehicles for all stakeholders with respect to application issues including issue identification, contingency (or appropriate work-around), expected resolution timeframe, and resolution completion
• Manages resolution of issues, root cause analysis and ensures recurring issues are resolved permanently
• Ensures issue resolution meets the needs of the HR business area
• Develops functional requirements to address system issues; Partners with IT to ensure understanding and translation into technical requirements
• Partners with IT and the business area to ensure proper prioritization of key work activities.
• Ensures reported incidents are tracked and documented (including scope, resource requirements, and impact)
• Provides project management for break/fix to ensure changes are delivered on-time and on-quality
• Supports application Disaster Recovery planning and testing
• Interacts with all levels of the IT and business communities, including Senior Management levels
• Creates communication vehicles for all stakeholders with respect to application issues
• Coordinates planned application downtimes with all stakeholders
• Ensures adherence to all relevant payroll, employment, and income tax laws, regulations, and operating guidelines
• Works at both strategic and tactical levels
• Creates logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
Reports to Manger, Production Support
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
