Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Program Manager, Enterprise Item Data manages high-profile, enterprise item-related capital projects from inception to implementation, on time and within budget. The Program Manager will scope projects, coordinate, synchronize, and manage the contributions of a broad range of business groups and users, including third party software providers, internal groups and vendors. This role will provide thought leadership on future projects contributing to superior enterprise item data application and processes.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

40% Manage multiple enterprise-item related capital projects by integrating and leading the efforts of a broad range of contributors, ensuring that all necessary project deliverables are complete on time and within budget. Work closely with management to gain approval for initiatives.
20% Act as the integrator across the range of program contributors including internal groups, vendors, IT and third party software providers by identifying and managing dependencies across disparate workstreams and mitigating overall risk to the program success.
20% Design and review practical, realistic project plans and hold project teams accountable for execution and quality of projects.
20% Maintain quality and fiscal control of projects. Provide metrics, measurement, evaluation and reporting as needed in support of capital projects. Track projects from inception through implementation.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Position reports to Sr. Manager, Enterprise Item Data
Number of direct reports is 2-5.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
5 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Additional Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience
- Proficiency in current department software for all technical applications including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Minimum 3 years of experience in creating reporting and metrics to drive business improvement; an understanding of database concepts
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:- Strong planning & project management skills including multi-tasking, work prioritization, meeting deadlines and operating under pressure
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence a wide range of people and teams and create movement toward common goals.
