Use your program management and administration experience to support the Operational Excellence program, UnitedHealthcare's Lean Six Sigma program. This role reports to the Program Director and is the principal resource for coordinating and managing program support, communications, training and more. The candidate must be self-directed and creative, with the ability to build relationships with our business partners. As a key resource to others you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to always meet deadlines.

 

 

If you are located within an hour of the Minnetonka office, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing holistic program administration and support
    • Acting as the program’s primary point-of-contact; Managing the OpX mailbox, responding to inquiries and providing general support to the entirety of the OpX community
    • Partnering with the training team to identify, inform and enroll new candidates; Managing the certification processes
    • Supporting month end and ad-hoc reporting
    • Maintaining the project tracking tool, including user management and issue resolution
    • Supporting facilitated events, including shipping materials to site locations
    • Modernizing program materials, including revising existing and drafting new documents
  • Providing oversight and management of program communications
    • Partnering with the team and others to draft, edit and publish newsletters, articles, best practices, and other content across multiple mediums
    • Managing team and program websites, including SharePoint, The Hub and Hub Connect
  • Providing oversight of the financial benefit tracking process
    • Onboarding and acting as liaison with belts and Finance in evaluation and tracking of financial benefits
    • Managing unit cost and other financial process and documentation updates
  • Providing ad-hoc project management and analysis
  • Performing Business Segment Liaison (BSL) activities, as needed (e.g., onboarding new team members, hardware/software acquisition, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in program and/or project management
  • 2+ years of experience in drafting and editing communications for large audiences
  • 2+ years of experience in SharePoint administration, including uploading documents and managing sites and libraries
  • Intermediate or greater level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities 
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills; the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with project management disciplines
  • Six Sigma Green Belt trained
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work without a lot of direction
