What You'll Do 

Reporting to the Director, APJ Digital Transformation Office in the APJ Enterprise Segment & Digital Transformation, this is a new Program Manager role focused on managing and scaling thought leadership, best practices content, programs and tools within the Industry Practices to the wider APJ theater field sales teams.


The Program Manager is responsible for and measured against the design and execution of programs and enablement initiatives developed by the Industry Practice teams. The person should work across teams to define and provide appropriate analytics to measure the success of these programs and provide recommendations for improvements.


Roles and Responsibilities


The Program Manager is responsible for organizing and scaling the knowledge within the team by developing and executing enablement activities, organizing collateral and facilitating community-building across account teams across APJ:


·                     Work with the Industry Practice Leaders and their teams on designing and executing processes and programs to scale the knowledge and collateral for the different industries

·                     Define and track the metrics required assessing the relevance and effectiveness of these processes, programs and deliverables. Improve overall visibility of these programs through the appropriate metrics, cadence, reporting, analysis etc

·                     Develop, manage the repository of collateral collected and created by the industry teams. Establish processes to facilitate and track the dissemination of content and knowledge to the field sales teams

·                     Facilitate the creation of communities of practice for focus industries. Establish processes for interaction and sharing of experience/materials within these communities. Maintain and update list of active participants

·                     Analyze market, sales and operating data to identify potential areas of improvements or success as it relates to industry practices. Propose plans of action to address issues or replicate successful cases, as well as implement, track and measure the action plans

·                     Perform benchmarking across the region to understand the relative effectiveness and take-up of the various enablement programs and collateral. Identify areas where the industry teams need to improve their reach

·                     Work with sales operations and finance to analyze the sales funnel created from the industry solutions developed. Help develop processes to identify which opportunities or sales were influenced/impacted by the industry practices teams

·                     Track and measure ownership and execution of action items arising from regular program reviews

·                     Track and measure programs and initiatives to ensure successful program or initiative completion (on a monthly and quarterly basis)

·                     Partner with the Architecture teams and other cross-functional teams to define the planning process required to ensure alignment on the set of industry solutions and programs and enablement to be executed

·                     Manage external agencies for the execution of customer and partner community of practice programs.

·                     Design and execute operational improvement projects as needed

Who You Are

In order to be successful in the role, you ideally would have 5+ years of experience in program management or operations within a large multinational company.


Minimum requirements for the role are:

·                     Experience in leading and managing strategic projects and operations

·                     Experience in training and building communities of practice (both online/offline)

·                     Track record of successful performance as a “change agent” within Cisco or other large multinational companies

·                     Experience in managing external agencies (event management, analyst group, survey) preferred. Contacts to external agencies will be advantageous.

·                     Ability to work cross-functionally across various teams and stakeholders (products, services, finance, human resources etc.) to drive outcomes

·                     Possess analytical skills and proficiency in financial and business modeling, process and financial analysis

·                     Knowledge of the IT industry and the various go-to-market models is desirable

·                     Excellent written, verbal communication, listening and presentation skills. Able to articulate complex ideas and strategies to people at all levels of the organization.

·                     Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field from a reputable university/college

·                     Prior experience in working in Industry Marketing or Go To market teams would be an advantage
