The Corporate Supply Chain Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Program Manager-Non-clinical Support Services.

The Program Manager works directly with all appropriate areas of the organization to lead and ensure the proper execution of non-clinical support services.  Maximizes the impact of service contracting efforts, including execution, system costs, and contributions to revenue.  Works directly with teams within Acute facilities and is responsible for implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and communicating plans to support  UHS in creating a “best in class” self-operating system for Environmental, Dietary, and Linen Services.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Creates and drives strategy for UHS Environmental and Dietary Services teams.
  • Responsible for EVS/Dietary ‘best practice’ implementation and adoption.
  • Provides mentoring, support, and guidance to field teams.
  • Effectively trains team members in performance of their duties as required.
  • Keeps leadership team well informed of activities, needs, problems.
  • Participates in department leadership team meetings.
  • Ensures teams are appropriately monitoring and reporting key performance metrics.
  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.
  • Collaborates with vendors to procure best value from partnerships to benefit the facility teams.
  • Serves as liaison between clinicians, facility, corporate departments, and EVS/Dietary teams as appropriate.
  • Serves as EVS/Dietary expert in leadership meetings.
  • Serves as a mentor to facility department leads.
  • Adheres to and promotes appropriate UHS EVS and Dietary standards.
  • Travels to facilities as needed in support of project managements responsibilities.
Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to support Acute Care facilities by providing the necessary tools and follow-up to support critical areas including, but not limited to, patient experience and satisfaction, specified service level requirements, infection prevention protocol, and delivery against financial commitments.
  • Capacity to train teams and monitor performance to ensure standardized and repeatable processes are consistent with operational best practices. 
  • Comfortable and confident interacting with hospital and corporate personnel at all levels. 
  • Demonstrable strong leadership, communication, collaboration, strategic planning, and tactical execution capabilities
  • Working knowledge of infection prevention standards and quality methods and metrics. 
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Five or more years of progressively more responsible supervisory/management Environmental Services and/or Dietary Services Experience.
  • Understanding of hospital workflow and operational processes within support services departments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Healthcare cleaning techniques and AORN/Infection Prevention standards.
  • Working knowledge of project management methods. 


Travel Requirements: up to 50% domestic US travel.
