Job Description

Join our SWHS team of Professionals!

SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals:  Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center. 

Inland Valley Medical Center

A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside County’s only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery.

Staff Registered Nurses are responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments, treatment and care on assigned units. Staff Registered Nurses will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Experience/Specialized Skills: Nursing management experience preferred. Communication, problem-solving and planning skills. Ability to work well as part of a leadership team.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization effectively to achieve outcomes, direct others and negotiate for desired results.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (CMS, Title 22, TJC)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Advanced Nursing Assessment and Critical Thinking skills
  • ED competent
  • Analytical skills necessary to organize and prepare for urgent and emergent situations.
  • Ability to coordinate and delegate team activities.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year recent Emergency Department/Trauma Management Experience
  • 3 years of clinical experience

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree-preferred

 REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Registered Nurse with current California license
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, MICN and TNCC
  • CEN or CCRN strongly encouraged
