What You'll Do

You will work alongside senior CI Master Black Belts and Data Science pod leads to program manage top corporate initiatives.  You will work with corporate PMOs to define scope, deliverables, timelines, resource plans and execution roadmaps for the pod and articulate the business value delivered.  You will leverage agile delivery methodologies and Rally to manage execution of work and provide weekly pod updates to corporate PMO highlighting status, risks, and arranging for iterative deliverable reviews with stakeholders.  You will lead the execution of pod work to ensure delivery against commitments.

These skills are pervasive in practically every function at the company. The leadership opportunity presented here is to build on this phenomenal success and apply the Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement practice towards Cisco's digitization strategy.


The Enterprise Data Science Office is focused on the enablement of data science skill sets across Cisco, data visualization labs, igniting innovation and collaboration across the data science community @ Cisco and executing projects at the corporate level in the areas of offer lifecycle and digitization that require advanced analytics. The Enterprise Data Science Office is made up of passionate employees who are a hybrid of data scientists and program managers.

The Minimum Qualifications for this Role are;

  •  4+ years of experience including a combination of project and program management, business operation and data science and demonstrated value delivered
  • Bachelor’s Degree in scientific discipline; Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science preferred but not required. Green Belt certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience leading, delivering and operationalizing data science projects
  • Experience demonstrated strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to lead a project team; focused on success of team (versus individual)
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly; naturally curious and innovative (doesn't accept status quo)
  • Self-Starter
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator

The Desired Skills for this Role are;

  • Working knowledge of data science tool sets like R, Python, Statistica, etc.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Text Analytics
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology, Modeling & Simulation and Process Mining
  • Relevant platforms including Hadoop, SAP HANA, Teradata
  • Proven delivery of complex solutions in analytics requiring data acquisition, wrangling/prep, analytical model development and creation, experimentation and operationalization
  • Demonstrated cross-functional program management skills on corporate programs and articulate business outcome/impact of program
  • Experience successfully articulating business outcomes and impacts of analytical models
