Unit Description

The Program Specialist II will support two areas in Learning and Performance: the Vice President and the Performance and Organizational Effectiveness team.  This position has responsibilities for all administrative projects, priorities, and functions for Learning and Performance and supports the learning, talent and performance, and learning support and services teams in programs designed, developed, and implemented for North America. The role can be located in any of the main Sodexo offices. 


This position will also support select global projects. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Researching, benchmarking, and creating PowerPoint presentations for various North America and global learning and performance projects
  • Organizing and creating presentations for departmental meetings
  • Maintaining Learning and Performance Program Portfolio, which contains listings of all global and regional programs that Learning and Performances supports and/or delivers
  • Creating and maintaining materials for Talent Management microsite for three key Performance and Organization Effectiveness processes: Performance Management, Talent Review, and Career Development
  • Providing logistical support to the Learning and Performance Steering Committee and All-Team Meeting
  • Management of department’s Point site and general SodexoNet pages
  • Managing editor of department’s monthly newsletter for HRVP stakeholders
  • Drafting communications for global project teams and Human Resources senior leadership
  • Organizing and managing projects for global workstreams via Microsoft Office 365 Point site
  • Representing Learning and Performance by participating in greater HR community activities
  • Basic administrative functions: completing expenses, booking travel, coordinating team logistics, etc.
  • Providing support to other teams within department as needed

 The preferred candidate will have the following background/skillset:

  • 5 years of administrative, program, learning function, and/or project management experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in Concur and Microsoft products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, Point, and Excel, preferably in Office 365)
  • Experience creating dynamic presentations and working in collaborative environment
  • Strong customer service experience, written and verbal communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability handle high volume in short timelines
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently

Bilingual (Spanish or French) a plus


Position Summary

Administers a program(s) or a portion of a program (s) within a department. Incumbent is technical expert on the program they administer. Oversees, monitors, and completes all administrative projects, priorities and functions for program managed. Program(s) typically have a Division-wide or company-wide scope. Work is generally administrative or project oriented, but is generally varied and unstructured in nature. Work may involve monitoring for regulatory compliance. Works independently under general supervision.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
