Description:

The Project Engineer position at the Dallas Gatorade plant is needed to develop and execute capital projects, as well as provide support to maintain plant operations and plant facilities/utilities.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and manage plant capital & expense projects to meet the need of plant sponsors and stakeholders
  • Key contributor and coordinator for corporate projects in the plant.
  • Utilization of TPM Early Management tools to deliver successful project execution, with a focus on associate engagement and change management
  • Manage all contractors & vendors associated with design, construction, installation, and procurement activities throughout the duration of capital projects to ensure compliance to all work standards and policies.
  • Development of Capital Appropriation Request documents, presentation to senior leadership, and project administration duties in SAP for 3-5 projects per year / $25-250M per project or as needed per Capital plan.
  • Champion resource conservation initiatives by serving as the SME and plant lead for facility requirements, including water, electric and natural gas reduction tactics
  • Generate a pipeline of projects to deliver productivity and plant facility stewardship within a multi-year project planning cycle
  • Utilize engineering skills to assist plant departments in troubleshooting complex process issues


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in technical field; BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in plant Production, Maintenance, or Engineering departments. Hotfill bottling experience is desired.
  • Strong project management skills with at least 1 year of experience in the food/beverage industry
  • Working knowledge of engineering construction specifications and standards
  • Ability to apply sound engineering principles to design projects and provide technical leadership on specific site initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of beverage filling, packaging, and processing equipment, as well as plant systems: water filtration, compressed air, boiler, cooling tower, HVAC, power distribution, and process control network.
  • Understanding of multiple supply chain disciplines including operations, planning, logistics, quality control, and engineering
  • Must demonstrate leadership and influence management skills and be able to function effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to lead/manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (domestic & international) up to 10%
