**ROLE SUMMARY**



The primary function of this position is to provide learned Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering practices and expertise in support of operating and upgrading the manufacturing facility.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Manage capital projects from conceptual phases through equipment installation, cGMP compliance, validation and continuous improvement.



+ Serve as project team leader when applicable to drive successful projects in terms of scope, schedule and budget.



+ Identify and achieve cost reduction goals through Engineering projects, conceptual design and by contributing to cost reduction ideas.



+ Support manufacturing, facility and utility operations by troubleshooting practices, change requests, conceptual design, long range planning and recommendations.



+ Support the development of capital plans and cycles to include project scopes and estimates.



+ Develop long range plans for site infrastructure systems as designated by the Engineering Manager.



+ **PROBLEM SOLVING:** Responding to manufacturing, quality, validations, facility or utility related issues as required, this may involve multi-tasking and cross-functional resolution.



+ **ACCOUNTABILITY:** Capital project management and implementation can affect employee safety, production efficiency and throughput, cost reduction goals, regulatory compliance, and product quality.



+ **ANALYTICAL ABILITY:** This position will require the ability to gather technical and logistical information, communicate and analyze that information toward the objective of making the right decisions. Individuals hired into this position will be required to define, measure, analyze, improve and control all aspects of assigned projects.



+ **AUTHORITY TO ACT:** This position is a support function. Decisions should be made based on input from affected departments or functions. Some proposals, decisions, or communications will require the proper judgment to be made concerning obtaining prior approval from this position's Manager.







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ Five (5) years experience in Project Management, equipment transfer role.



+ Five (5) years experience in Facilities, Utilities, Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is preferred.



+ Engineering skills gained by receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field will help insure safe, efficient, well designed solutions to tasks.







**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**



Physical or mental requirements necessary for the performance of essential functions of this particular role. Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, and bending for hours at a time. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis, Ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis on a regular basis.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



Day Schedule - 8 hours per day and overtime may be required.
