The Project Leader Process & Performance Improvement, functions as a Subject Matter Expert in Lean Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Change Leadership and Project Management. Leads and manages multiple process improvement engagements across multiple facilities. Serves as the Client Executive representing Performance and Process Improvement to Acute Care Hospitals Executives and other UHS leadership. Drives implementation and sustainment efforts for initiatives and for individual projects within a facility. Mentors and coaches Performance and Process Improvement team members in Lean Six Sigma, Change Management and Project management. Identifies and develops division-wide best practices and implements those practices.

Essential Job Duties:

Serves as Subject Matter Expert Lean Lean Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Change Leadership and Project Management.
Activities: Functions as resource for Performance & process Improvement, Pharmacy, Laboratory and Clinical Operations staff. Educates both PPI staff and Acute Care hospital staff in process improvement methodologies. Documents savings, provides financial information, and reviews submitted protocols for additional opportunities. Develops Best Demonstrated Practice strategies. Recognizes existing facility Best Demonstrated Practices, educates hospital areas in implementation of identified best practices, and tracks savings identified through implementation of best practices. .

Acts as Client Executive representing Performance and Process Improvement to Acute Care Hospitals Executives and other UHS leadership.

Activities: Manages multiple engagements in multiple facilities simultaneously. Works with Hospital and UHS executives to ensure that projects stay on-track, achieve their intended outcomes and sustain their improvement performance. Resolves issues regarding PPI performance with Hospital executives.

Drives implementation and sustainment efforts.

Activities: Works with facilities to plans projects and assists with scheduling. Directs allocated team members in setting up and executing on project plans, agendas and Work-Outs/Kaizens and meeting. Mobilizes resources required by the opportunities. Collaborates with the Corporate and Facility leaders on the hand off and completion of all initiatives. Develops and directs the development of presentations, work plans, timelines and milestones. Assumes initial responsibility for measuring, tracking, monitoring, and reporting initiatives. Develops status updates.



 
Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 - 8 years experience required; Master's degree with 10+ years experience preferred. 

Extensive experience in hospital process improvement.
Demonstrated Project management experience and leadership experience.
Demonstrated strong leader with excellent written/verbal communication and analytical skills.
Computer skills with proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Word.
Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma required and a Master Black Belt preferred.
English verbal and written fluency.
Travel Requirements: 50%-75%
