Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE

The purpose of the Project Manager, Finance role is to support Vice President of FP&A by providing real-time, high quality analysis to forecast Sales and Margin for a $100B+ business. The high-visibility, high-impact  role works cross-functionally with business partners from Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain and Online Finance and will perform analyses to provide an independent view of the ‘health of the business’. This role will report to a Finance Director. 

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

P&L Forecasting and Analysis – Build weekly P&L forecasts with inputs from Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting and others. Track P&L performance vs. plan and prior year. Understand and articulate risks and opportunities in the forecast. Perform month-end and quarter-end P&L reviews.

Provide Business Insight – Understand the key drivers of the ‘health of the business’ and P&L forecasts. Develop and articulate the quarterly sales and margin ‘story’ to Finance Leadership.  Cultivate trusted working relationships with business partners from Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain and Online Finance. Perform ad-hoc analyses to support Leadership teams as needed.

Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving – Provide independent decision support analyses and thought partnership to Finance leadership. Lead cross-functional projects across the various Finance teams. Drive continuous process improvement.

Position reports to Finance Director 
One direct report 

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment: 
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: 
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
