Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to support a Washington, DC based client. This position has overall responsibility for scope, schedule, and cost control for assigned projects. Responsibilities encompass multiple disciplines including, but not limited to maintaining high levels of quality control, collaboration with project specific team members including subcontractors, project financial accountability, and ensuring stakeholder’s interests are met.


  • Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification. . Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
  • Manage overall project delivery including cost control, schedule oversight, quality assurance, information management, and contract administration.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure that work is performed in accordance with the contract requirements
  • Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
  • Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (larger economic implications, business risk, etc.).
  • Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or other related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience managing multi-faceted projects with emphasis on construction projects.
  • Experience in managing people. Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast pace environment.



Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accreditation.

Project Management Professional (PMP)

LEED Accredited Professional - Operations and Maintenance (O+M)

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated capital projects. Reviews project proposal, establishes work plan and manages contractors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.

Key Duties
- Construction Management including scheduling and financial management

- Quality Control and Safety

- Project Engineering including following specifications, design adaptation by ensure design and specifications meet codes and specification

- Sub-contractor management

- Administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, minutes, maintaining documentation and customer liaison



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 5 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
