One of Cisco’s key priorities is the enablement of legal entities in select countries to extend our sales model and in-country presence to better meet customers’ expectations for higher levels of accountability, local engagement and global consistency.

As Cisco expands its footprint into new business models to drive growth, the company has planned to create a Full Buy Sell entity (aka China Type 5) in Guangzhou Panyu. It is necessary to ensure the appropriate business capabilities are included the scope so that the entity is set up according to current and future business needs, cost and time allocated, it is also important to manage the end to end implementation carefully to ensure minimal impact to the normal running of the business, and is in accordance to the compliance requirements.

 

It is essential to review the current set up regularly to decide whether there are needs to add, remove and change any of the business capabilities. Hence, it is necessary to create governance / policy documents and to provide regular education and awareness to stakeholders to promote proper behavior.

 

In summary, main Job Responsibilities:

-       Be the single point of contact for the Guangzhou Panyu Type 5 project from China business perspective.

-       Lead, facilitate, and coordinate all activities related to the approval of the Key Business Decision (KBD) and High Level Scope (HLS) that are being tracked throughout the duration of the Guangzhou Panyu Type 5 project. This may include the facilitation of brainstorming sessions.

-       Be comfortable to provide updates, in writing or verbal, to senior management.

-       Change management. Work with cross functional teams to create education & awareness materials and provide trainings to internal / external stakeholders in China.

-       On-going governance of matters related to add, remove or change of entities scope and structure. Creation of entities change requests policy, e.g. business case template and ROI.

-       Run regular review of matters such as employees locations.

-       Identify and eliminate barriers that can interfere with smooth running of the business.

 

To be successful, the candidate must have demonstrated ability in the following skills:

 

-       5+ years post-graduate experience with a sizable multinational company

-       Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Engineering.

-       Strong project management skills with the ability to work cross functionally and geographically

-       Ability to exercise cross function influence and advocacy in support of regional goals.

-       Solid communication skills and ability to articulate clearly highly complex topics.

-       Ability to translate highly complex business processes into simplified executive messaging.

-       Strong collaboration and facilitation skills to manage a virtual team of experts in different areas to execute on activities.

-       Independent, self starter with proven new project/initiative management experience.

-       Cross functional negotiation, change management, problem solving and global thinking skills.

-       Ability to see and plan the big picture including solid understanding of how the different pieces interconnect with each other through projects and deliverables

-       Fluent in both English and Mandarin.

 

A plus if the applicant also has the followings:

-       Solid understanding of Cisco's business, and the impact of local country requirements on global business policies and processes

-       An MBA

-       Speak Cantonese
