Pfizer Melbourne is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to work as a Project Manager based in Melbourne Victoria on a new Medical Device project.







A medical device is to be added to an existing product portfolio that will require the overall project management and launch of the commercial product. A new facility and dedicated assembly equipment is to be installed at the Melbourne site. The Project Manager will define and manage all activities relating to the implementation and successful commercial manufacture of the product at the Melbourne site.







**Role Responsibilities:**







The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of the commercial manufacture of the product with a medical device at the Melbourne site. This project involves the design, procurement, installation, commissioning and validation of the device and associated dedicated equipment and facility at the Melbourne site. The incumbent will be responsible for working closely with the global product development team to ensure all site requirements are communicated and that the product can successfully and compliantly be manufactured. The incumbent will:







+ Develop project timelines and manage project deliverables to time and budget



+ Develop project charters, project scope and overall project governance program.



+ Lead site dedicated project team clearly defining roles and responsibilities for the project



+ Facilitate process definition discussions with product development and ensure requirements are integrated into the commercial manufacturing process and equipment



+ Track project activity using appropriates tools, software and controls.



+ Control project budgeting



+ Management of Project meetings and meeting records, including handovers, mid project and close out meetings.



+ Liaise with the Client, Engineers, Operation Coordinators, EHS managers, Finance and labeling artwork team and general management to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are achieved.



+ Facilitate equipment design and final vendor selection with project engineer



+ Develop project timelines and manage project deliverables to time and budget



+ Oversee the integration of manufacturing process into site quality program



+ Provide support to site regulatory team for registration of product







You will be flexible, self-motivated and have a 'can do' attitude. The successful candidate should ideally have proven experience of working in a similar role or in a cGMP flexible manufacturing environment, with excellent communication and writing skills. Prior experience with medical devices is beneficial. The role will be challenging and require someone dynamic with ability to work on multiple projects. You will be used to meeting challenging deadlines and improve performance through continuous improvement and use of business tools. Your IT skills will be of a high standard particularly in Excel and Project Planning tools such a MS Project.







**Qualifications /Knowledge**







+ Degree level qualification preferably in Engineering/ Science



+ Proficiency in CAD/ Excel / Word / Outlook / Project (or equivalent)



+ Excellent English both written and oral.



+ Effective communication and negotiation skills



+ Engineering experience in a similar field: 8 - 10 years



+ Experience of project orientated admin/cost control/management



+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.



+ Good communication skills, proactive, good initiative and ability to work under pressure.



+ Independent worker being able to work with minimal supervision.



+ High level of self-motivation.



+ Able to learn new techniques and procedures.



+ Quality and detail focus







+ Well Organized and Effective Planner
