The Annuities Product area has an opening for a motivated and high achieving professional to implement the responsibilities and objectives of the Contracts and Prospectus Management Team.

 

The Prospectus Team is charged with the task of developing, filing and distributing annual and new registration statements (prospectuses) and non-annual registration statement changes (prospectus supplements) for annuities with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for new products, enhancements to existing products, and annual product filings.

The candidate will be responsible for analysis, research, development, the automated content development and filing, and the accuracy of a detailed prospectus and related documents. The scope of this position also includes coordination to ensure that business, operations, actuarial, and legal areas are in agreement that prospectuses and related documents are complete and accurate and that financial sign off has been secured by the financial coordinator prior to filing with the SEC.   

Additional responsibilities may include special projects and business as usual type projects. Overtime and some weekend work is likely to be necessary in January through April for annual prospectus filings, and occasionally during the rest of the year as well.  

 

 


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. 
  • Technically oriented with strong PC skills and eager to learn new technology
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with content management systems/tools is a plus
  • Very strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to understand and write complex technical material in a clear concise manner is very important.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills will be needed to develop and maintain working relationships with people of widely varying levels, backgrounds, and skills.
  • Experience working with a high functioning team, while capable of contributing strongly within her/his area of responsibility and to overall team goals.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with demanding situations
  • A strong background in annuities, and/or mutual funds is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Prudential’s Annuities product portfolio is a plus.
  • In depth knowledge of at least one of the following is preferred: SEC filings under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933 (Forms N-4, S-1, S-3), variable product law, financial services regulatory or compliance expertise.
