The Provider Relations Coordinator represents the facility to the community, interested persons, and potential referral sources within the identified market service area. In conjunction with community resources, contributes to the maintenance of relationships with outside agencies, private practitioners, insurers and family members.  Participates in county and regional meetings of the public mental health providers.  Performs duties in accordance with the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Qualifications / Specifications

  • Experience: Minimum two years business development/marketing experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.  Experience with a psychiatric mental health population preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Healthcare related field preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensure/certification in mental health profession helpful but not required.
  • Working Knowledge: Networking and organizational ability to develop and track business contacts.  Prefer knowledge of mental health admissions, case management, and discharge process, age specific growth and development, and crisis and behavior management
