The Provider Service Representative supports all aspects of the Provider Relations department, which includes contracting requests, research and communication regarding payment and remittance, pricing and reimbursement, communications, and relationship management. Answering incoming phone calls and e-mails from providers.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supporting all contracting solicitation and enrollment efforts
  • Working closely with Provider Contracting and Retail Network Operations
  • Primary phone coverage for the Provider Relations Escalation Hotline
  • Answering occasional e-mails, and pulse tasks coming into the department from pharmacies and internal departments
  • Supporting pharmacies and internal Catamaran departments with pricing, reimbursement, and claims processing inquiries
  • Developing and maintaining a positive relationship with contracted pharmacies, and coordinating effectively with internal and external partners to ensure pharmacy inquiries are handled and resolved in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Utilizing the Provider Relations Tracking Database and log all calls coming in
  • Projects as assigned
  • Mailings as needed for communication
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • 1+ years of healthcare-related experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a claim, customer service, or provider support role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including: Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents), Microsoft Excel (creating and modifying spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (managing email and calendar)
  • Experience utilizing Jabber or any form of Instant Messaging system
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) business
  • Prior experience with RxCLAIM
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access (creating forms and reports)
  • Experience with escalations (escalated calls)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including: Microsoft PowerPoint (creating and editing presentations)
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment, including scheduling flexibility
  • Experience navigating through multiple systems while on the phone
