River Point Behavioral Health provides a calm and safe setting for progressive, individualized treatment for adults. Located in Jacksonville, FL , River Point Behavioral Health has been providing psychiatric treatment and dual diagnosis treatment to patients for decades. Our services include: inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We are conveniently located in the Southside of Jacksonville near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and University Boulevard.  We have an immediate opening for an ARNP to work on the weekends.  The duties include the following:

River Point is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist with experience with Adolescent and Adult.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

Florida License as a Psychiatrist as issued by the Florida Department of Health.
     Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to combine assessments, treatment planning and intervention into a meaningful document. Must be able to communicate with members of the interdisciplinary treatment team, managed care representatives, children, adolescents, adults and residents’ families in a clean and concise manner.
     Must have knowledge of individual, group and family therapy dynamics and techniques as related to cultural, social, economic, communication and role expectations within the family system.
     Must have good clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies within the context of the overall treatment plan.
     Must have the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of child and adolescent needs, knowledge of growth and development stages and possess an understanding of the range of treatment needed by this age group.
     Must have leadership abilities.
     Must be flexible.
