Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents

Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents, located in New Kent, Virginia (between Williamsburg and Richmond), offers inpatient services as well as residential treatment and group homes for individuals, ages 2-22. We understand the unique psychological, social and behavioral challenges that often interfere with successful treatment of chronic disease, brain injury, neurological impairment and other medical conditions. Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents doesn’t look like a hospital because it isn’t like most hospitals. Our unique environment offers a different approach to help children with complex needs. Children who fail repeatedly in conventional settings find new opportunities at Cumberland. Psychotherapist (LCSW or LPC) - Full Time

 

 Essential Job Duties:

·         Providing individual, group and family therapy

·         Participate in professional development activities

Job Requirements

Qualifications:                    

 

A combination of mental health experience and relevant education to deliver psychotherapy services to consumers. 

The required knowledge, skills, and abilities must be documented and observable in the application form and interview and can be verify by additional references.

 

Education:                          

At least a Master’s Degree in human services field (i.e. psychology, social work, counseling, education)

 

Experience:    

                    

At least one-year recent experience with appropriate populations preferred.

 

Licensure/Certification:   

 

Virginia licensed with or license eligible for LPC or LCSW.

 

Physical Requirements:  

- Ability to assist in management of aggressive behavior.

- Ability to perform CPR.
